I was was replacing an outdated KVH in-motion dome that came on my '04 American Eagle J..with the SK-SWM3 & planned to do the install myself. Well it went like a breeze due to great instructions & that video. I had this baby up & running about 2hrs or less with a fantastic HD picture. Push one button on the Data reciever & up she goes to tune in the 3 birds...same way to retract. Doesn't get any easier than that!!! Thanks Winegard for a very smart & user friendly HD DISH!!!

I bought this from Amazon to install on my new Jayco Eagle Superlite 304bhs. I decided to take it to Camper a world for them to install and was informed that the roof of the RV had too much of a curve to mount it. It needs to be on a flat surface to seal to the roof to prevent leaks, as well as to provide a sturdy base to keep the antenna from tearing loose in high winds. Winegard does not make a base plate for mounting on an arched roof.I almost returned it but decided to try and install it myself. i went to a local aluminum fabricator and got a 2' x 2' plate of 0.1" thick aluminum as a base and mounted it to the crown of the roof, using plastic and neoprene washers to shim the edges and getting longer screws to anchor to the roof. I mounted the antenna to the plate and used several tubes of lap sealant to make sure it was sealed. It works as advertised, only failing to find the satellites in heavy trees. It also looks impressive as it spins up to find the satellites. Overall, very cool.

I have traveled with my satellite on a tripod for years with constant aggravation. This unit was relatively easy to install and started working immediately . Would recommend it to anyone.

We have installed many stationary HD mobile sat antenna systems. This is by far the best one in my opinion. Yes installation is straight forward, however, this thing weighs a ton. We use scissor lift or fork lift whenever possible.

5 out of 5 stars Winegard, a tried and proven good product.

The leader in satellite systems for rvs. Easy to install yourself with good tech support if needed. Keep in mind that you need a HD direct tv box for a motorhome, not a tag along box that Direct typically installs in your home.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent

I installed this myself on my motorhome with no problems. It took a little help to get it on the roof as I am 75 Yrs old and don't have the strength I used to. The assembly and installation only took a couple of hours. I would recommend purchasing the optional mounting plate.

5 out of 5 stars Saved a bunch doing myself

The hardest thing about the whole job was getting it on the motorhome roof. The instructions were very clear.I saved about $450 doing it myself

5 out of 5 stars Great automatic system for the RV.

A very solid system and user friendly. A huge improvement over my old system. Love the one button operation and the increased signal strength.
