Description

The CineTension2 electric/motorized projection screen is the latest line of product in the electric home theater series produced by Elite Screens. Although this projection screen is designed for the home theatre environment, it makes an impressive centerpiece to any corporate meeting room. The CineTension2 gets its name from the tension cords that run vertically down both of its sides. This feature eliminates "curling", a common problem encountered on conventional electric screens, thus increasing the rigidity of the projection surface, which results in an improved picture quality. The CineTension2 series, tension reinforced electric projection screen comes ready to "plug and play" out of the box with a wall control unit, IR (Infra Red) and RF (Radio Frequency) remote controls included. Its sliding bracket feature allows the unit to be easily aligned with wall support studs for easy installation. CineTension2 projection screens also sport a 12V-Trigger port, low profile extended IR "Eye" receiver and a 2 year warranty. Tension reinforced electric projection screen comes ready to "plug and play"
Tension cords that run vertically down both sides, this eliminates "curling" Total Control Options The included standard Radio Frequency (RF) remote control operates the screen from 100 feet away, and you can also use the low-voltage detachable 3-way wall switch for in-line control. The extended IR "eye" sensor allows for in-ceiling Infrared operation, and a built-in 5-12 volt trigger port (RJ-45) enables Drop/Rise operation to synchronize with the projector's power cycle. Optional accessories are available (sold separately) for even more control, including a wireless 5-12 volt projector trigger, optional in-wall switch, and the ZR800D IR Universal Learning Remote system. Easy Installation Floating installation brackets provide easy alignment with wood studs to accommodate a wall or ceiling installation. The aluminum housing with enamel coating is moisture resistant. An adjustable vertical limit switch regulates the screen's drop/rise settings. The CineTension2 is shipped ready to plug and play with an installation kit containing brackets, screws, and bubble leveler included. Optional in-ceiling trim kits and extended 11x4 or 12x8 L brackets are also available (sold separately). Quality and Reliability The CineTension2's tubular motor allows swift operation with a superior weight tolerance and operational lifespan. CineTension2 is certified by AMX and CRESTRON for custom home installations, and it carries a 2-year parts and labor premium warranty. A 3-year parts and labor premium warranty is available for all Government, Education, Military, and house of worship purchases. CineWhite Tension material provides uniform flatness in a versatile material making it a favorite for consumers and installers alike. Featuring a 160 degree wide viewing angle and standard 4-side black masking borders, screens are available in 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, and 2.35:1 aspect ratios and diagonal sizes ranging from 84" - 150". Sound-transparent models with AcousticPro1080 also available, as well as rear projection material models. CineWhite (Tension Matte White) has broad light dispersion through diffusion uniformity, black & white contrast and true color rendition making it the most versatile in Elite's tensions screen product lines. This tension PVC surface is the best choice for today's high-contrast ratio projectors in commercial or residential presentations. The CineWhite material equals the performance to Elite Screens' MaxWhite product, but improves the experience with superior surface flatness. A uniform diffusion surface has black-backing to eliminate light penetration and is easily washable with mild soap and water. Tension PVC surface is perfect for high-

5 out of 5 stars Great screen, all the features for much less than other brands
Dano

I ordered the TE106HW2-E24 model with the extra 24" black drop, but Amazon sent me the regular TE106HW2 by mistake. Fortunately, I don't actually need the extra black drop for my installation, I just wanted it for flexibility in case I change the location or move to a new house. So I kept the TE106HW2.Packaging:The screen arrived doubled boxed, with very good foam padding, the packaging is very impressive and minimizes the possibility of shipping damage.Features:This screen comes fully loaded with all the options most people would ever need:- The Screen in CineWhite 1.1 gain with tab tensioning- IR Remote- RF Remote- Wall switch- IR receiver/extender dongle- 12-volt trigger with dongle- mounting brackets, screws- a really nice bubble levelIt really amazes me that it comes with all these options as most other "high end" screen companies sell you each one of these at an extra charge even though their starting price is several thousand dollars. The Cinetension2 is an AMAZING value in my opinion.Mounting:The mounting was very easy. My wife and I did it ourselves. The mounting brackets are very easy to install and come with all the screws you need. Also, the screen comes with three velcro straps tied around the screen box, this is very handy, you leave these on during the installation to prevent the screen's weight bar from flapping around during installation. The screen is not very heavy, but you do need two people to lift it up to the mounting brackets. The sliding mounting bolts are very neat in that you don't have to line anything up ahead of time, just lift the screen, hook the back to the bracket, slide the bolts into position, and tighten with a wrench...Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars Had it two years

I like to wait until I know something's good before I say its good. This has held up very well and movies look awesome. I needed two other guys to assist placing on wall and still almost had catastrophic incident. My wall was not perfectly straight and this would not flex to fit. Obviously a good thing it did not. I had to use a one inch board as spacer behind one side, but you can barely notice once in place and not at all when screen is down.

5 out of 5 stars Great screen at an awesome price!

For the price I got for this electric and tab tensioned 100" screen from Elite, I thought I'd be getting a regular pull down screen from other manufacturers. Originally, I got a 92" plain jane Dalite white manual pull down and lived with it for several years. Overtime, it quickly developed waves and thus distortion and once noticeable, sidetracked me out of the action of a movie. In addition, I learned the meaning of hotspotting with this screen immediately after swapping it out with the Elite. While it was with my first foray into projector/screen HT experience, I had no prior experience to know any better. We enjoyed our movies nevertheless but things could have been in a much higher caliber as hindsight is always 20/20. Live and learn I guess. When I switched out the screen for this Elite CineWhite, the first thing I notice is the evenness of illumination, no hot spotting, gorgeous colors and good contrast despite it being an essentially white screen. Everything was under control as far as the image goes--like a fine, aged wine compared to a regular beer. The black backing helps with the hot spotting big time and retained the brilliance on screen without leakage. The motor works well and kept the screen wide and flat that lent an air of professionalism and flair. Now, I feel immersed again in the movie experience as never before. I knew this could be done but just didn't realized it could be had in this price range. Thank you Elite Screens for your value proposition without compromise on performance. Now I am constantly looking forward to my next movie night.Kenobi

5 out of 5 stars Still perfect after 2 years
Dano

I have had this screen for 2 years now. I purchased it from Amazon along with my Panasonic PT-AE4000 projector, also from Amazon.I have not had a single problem with this screen. We use it to watch TV, sports (mostly ice hockey) and movies almost every night of the week. The tab-tension works perfectly, no wrinkles on the screen despite it going up and down nearly every day.In terms of picture performance, it is great! I got the CineWhite 1.1 gain and the picture quality from my Panasonic AE4000 is fantastic! I watch ice hockey in "Normal" mode (which is not accurate for movie watching but ok for sports) and I can easily watch in daylight with moderate light control (close a few blinds around the screen area), great for Sunday afternoon football. My friends come over and are really awed by the picture even in daytime. For movies, I use "Cinema 1" mode and it is fantastic.I use the 12v trigger feature which is connected via CAT5 cable to my projector to trigger the up/down when I turn on my projector. The screen goes down pretty fast compared to others I've seen, and it's also relatively quiet compared to others. The screen was easy to install, I did it myself with the help of my wife. It is not that heavy, my wife was able to lift her end and help me install it. The toughest part is making sure you have an electrical outlet at the ceiling, something I had put in by our cabinet maker. The only negative I've experienced is that I have not been able to program my universal remote (I use a URC MX-900 model remote) to control the up/down of the screen. I can't explain this. I tried some built in codes, I tried to "learn" the codes from the original remote that came with the screen, and none of it worked. The original remote works fine though.Read more ›
