5 out of 5 stars Better than expected
James Ryan

Before buying this I had bought other furniture from OfficeDepot and it was very time consuming to assemble. When I got this I was prepared for the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. Very easy. The front of the unit is completely assembled in the box. You just literally slide some pieces together and you're done. The unit is very solid and gorgeous. Honestly, I did not expect it to be this nice. It's real wood and it's worth every penny.Biggest concerns for me were quality and ventilation for the audio and gaming equipment. The stand is well designed with ventilation in mind and I have noticed no issues with either my xbox or onkyo receiver.Lastly, the TV is much easier to view being on this TV stand, as opposed to a shorter stand. It's much more comfortable. If you wanna check this TV stand out before buying it from Amazon, I recommend checking it out at HH Greg.

Fine product-----very pleased with design and ability to accommodate many stereo components and large flat screen TV on top. Well built and actually reasonably easy to assemble BUT: - came WITHOUT assembly instructions - Had MINOR damage/scratches but I was able to hid with matching stain.ITEM: Techcraft AWC 5036 50" hiboy credenzaVC

This is the perfect piece of furniture for a large TV. It even makes our 55 inch look classy. I couldn't be happier with it

I have to say this was a happy experience. It was too large for fedex or ups so it was delivered by freight truck. To the person complaining about no instructions, if you are careful unpacking you'll probably find them. I also had no problems with miss drilled pegs. Everything fit perfectly and went together fairly easily, making a very nice and sturdy piece of furniture. Very happy with it. It does take about 30 minutes total unpacking and putting it together. I had no problems with my equipment fitting because I was intelligent enough to measure my equipment and look at the dimensions before I ordered.

4 out of 5 stars Very nice stand

Ok, I was looking for a tall stand and this one was perfect. We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old, and with this stand they can't get in the way if they are playing in front of the TV.The quality is very nice, but, ten minutes to put together, NOT. It takes ten minutes to just get it out of the box, about ten to figure out the picture gram directions, and about 20 minutes to put it together. Now, for those of you with modern A/V receivers, your going to need to cut/break out the backing so you have enough room. My Pioneer VSX-1121-K sticks out the back about 2 inches, which is fine for me, I like the back removed for air circulation. The spot for the center speaker has a brace that I had to leave out so I could fit my Def Tech CS-8040HD, other than those issues, I highly recommend this stand.I've had tech craft before, and I like there stuff, It is a little soft, so you need to be a little careful, but I knew this from my previous stand ( I lost that one in my divorce, LOL )

5 out of 5 stars Just what I was hoping to find.

I have been looking for the correct e-center for some time and this one is perfect. It is easy to put together as long as you have two people working on it. When aligned, which can be a challenge, all pieces fit and lock together well. It looks great and arrived with no blemishes. Great buy!

5 out of 5 stars tool free, except for a rubber mallet
kay

I ordered this five days ago- got it one day early despite MASSIVE local flooding. The guy even brought it into my house for me (it came by freight and often they only deliver to the curb). It is heavy but not solid wood as someone stated. It's some kind of composite with a veneer but that's okay and it states that the finish is a veneer so oh well. I sat here staring at it, waiting for someone to come home to put it together when I realized it boasted tool free assembly, even I should be able to do that! It was easy, took me about fifteen minutes but without a rubber mallet I would have been here all day. You do need THAT tool. Overall I'm very happy with it. I don't know that it's worth the $491.00 I paid for it but today it's $391.00 (really- come on Amazon, that sucked) but for less than $400 it's a good buy. A little peeved at the price difference but that doesn't affect the rating. It's beautiful. You'll like it- just don't pay what I did.
