A Lot of Work, But Worth ItDinfire
This thing is heavy and it arrived in five days with free shipping. Couple dings, but nothing inside damaged. First of all, do not lose anything! There are no extra screws, dowels, or anything else. If you lose one, you're out of luck so keep track of everything. Assembling this thing is no easy task. I'm not sure what other people are talking about, but I did it completely by myself. It took me around three hours and the next day my hands and wrists were sore from all the screws that had to be driven into the very hefty particle board. This piece uses the typical camlock system that's common with assembled furniture, and A LOT of screws. I really wish I had an electric screwdriver for this project.Now that it's put together, I'm pretty impressed. It displays as a far nicer piece of furniture than the price suggests. One thing that should be mentioned is that this TV stand is brown wood with a black stain. It's not painted black. So in bright sunlight, it can look a little red/brown as the wood shows through a little. The piece feels solidly constructed and stable, but the support on the bottom that is supposed to hold up the middle of the stand snapped off as soon as it was moved. It's far too flimsy for such an important component. I fear that in a year or so it will start to sag in the middle, but I didn't feel like taking everything out of it to turn it upside down and fix it just to load everything in again.The thing comes with tons of shelves and you can adjust them however you want inside the compartments. The perfect mix of open/closed spaces ensures that your heat-sensitive components can breathe and the more durable ones can be hidden. It's also probably the tallest 60" TV stand and it gets the panel at the perfect height for viewing from a couch.Read more ›

This unit looks great and was easy to assemble. It is heavy, so I'd recommend two people. If for no other reason than the fact that the comments in other reviews regarding the fragile finish are NOT understated. It is a solid piece of furniture and everything you need to assemble is included. I managed to assemble it without a scratch with the help of my wife. Took us about 90 minutes.The color is stunning. However, when I slid my phonograph on the lowest center shelf (it has soft rubber feet), they left a mark. It touched up but that's an example of how light the finish is. I also had to use a filler on the top because from certain angles in bright light the finish looked porous. Easy fixes, but not a piece of furniture I would recommend for a busy household.I have received several compliments about the piece. So, for the cost I feel like I did well. Beautiful Piece of Furnituremonicae
My 27" CRT finally went out and I needed a place to put my new 51" plasma. My old Oak Entertainment center was definitely not going to accommodate the TV. None of the TV consoles in the store were appealing. I finally looked on Amazon. I checked the reviews on the smaller Westlake version before I finally decide on this. Mine has shelving rather than the fireplace in the center. It arrived in a kit. The hardware supplied is just enough to put together. Unfortunately for me, they had two screws that were not threaded. The hardware is specific to this furniture and I could not find a comparable item at the local hardware store. This item is not perfect and either needs better quality control on the hardware, or provide at least one more piece of each type of screw or connector than is required. I managed to work around by putting the pieces in places they would not be detected or load bearing. I am in talks w/ the manufacturer for replacements. The kit is heavy (shipping weight 129 lbs), so be prepared to assemble it near where you intend to put it. It took approximately 2.5 hours to assemble. The color is beautiful and it looks very solid. Not at all cheap construction. The picture in this case really is a fair representation of the furniture. I am really pleased with my choice. This model has more storage than I expected. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. Classic, upscale, modern looks; this item is definitely a keeper.
Nice piece, but lacking partsDavid Metrena
We were in the process of remodeling our living room and finally upgrading to a flat screen TV form the old tube version. Looking for a simply, yet nice style tv stand and this fit the bill. Overall, I am satisfied with the piece, delivery through Amazon, and quality of the unit. My issues lie in that not all parts were in the box (missing screws, the magnets to hold the doors closed and the covers for the locking pins). The instructions were good, one aspect was backwards, but I figured it out before getting to far long.As for the missing parts, a quick trip to Home Depot for the screws and magnets, and I was all set. The cap covers for the locking pins, eh, not the end of the world.

I have been searching for months for the perfect entertainment center. I would have liked to find one cheaper but this was well worth the extra money. This has been one of the easier pieces to put together, it took me 2 hours but I was also watching a hockey game while I was putting it together. You can see why it cost a little more then most stands and I'm glad I spent the money on this one. I am very pleased with my purchased.
