I ordered the Winegard PA2000R Pathway X1bundle for use in our camper and love it! Yeah, I know we're supposed to be enjoying the great outdoors and here in Minnesota, there's a LOT of great outdoors but we spend a lot of time up along the North Shore and the Gunflint Trail and sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate. It's nice to be able to catch news, weather and our favorite shows during down time. I decided to purchase a satellite TV system last spring when we got stuck in Grand Marais for 10 days during gales and snow storms common here in early spring. Get stuck inside a small camper for 10 days with anyone and you get a little edgy! We also plan on using it at home to replace cable.UPDATE: I've had the Pathway out on several two week camping trips and it's been great! It's also survived a thunderstorm with high winds and gale force winds of 45 mph for a full day (we were out at the time and I forgot to secure it before leaving!). Between the rubber feet and the dome shape, it didn't budge an inch on the roof but I was lucky. The right storm could indeed blow it off your roof so do secure it in some fashion. Like any satellite TV system you will experience some drop-outs in heavier rain but we can live with that. We lost some channels in a hard rain but others would come through fine so I assume it has a lot to do with signal strength. The bundle arrived in a timely fashion and well packaged. Setup was as simple as could be:1.) Attach the carry handle with the included 2 screws (the dish is lightweight so secure it on windy days)2.) Attach the coax to the dish dome base, place the dome in a good view of the southern sky3.) Attach the coax to the receiver - Don't turn it on yet4.Read more ›

Small and simple to use, I purchased it with the expectation of using it from time to time. It works very well, automatically finding the satellites and supports 2 recievers, so I plan to get the mount kit and make it a permanent install on the top of my RV.
