Quite nice, hard to assembleSonoma's Davey
I've been searching for a TV stand made from real wood (not "wood products", and not "wood veneer", and certainly not "looks like real wood"). This stand is attractive, with doors, shelves, drawers, and a good large surface for the TV that I hope will show up soon.The short story is that this looks very much nicer in person than it does in the picture, and it would get 5 stars except for being unnecessarily difficult to assemble (minus 1 star). I'm generally very happy with this.The finished construction is pretty sturdy, and really does look very nice. The color is pretty dark for "honey" -- another reviewer mentioned "walnut", and I concur with that. Just don't be surprised that the finish is on the darker brown side, not light brown or tan. The quality of the construction is very high, with real wood panels, very nice finish, beautiful drawer pulls, smoothly working drawers with metal tracks on rollers, top-quality hinges, and understated contemporary styling. Everything is wood, including the back panels and drawer bottoms. There's no particle board here at all, and no cardboard backing. It's all wood, and very nice. The back panels and drawer bottoms are thinner wood, and plenty sturdy enough. The center back panel has three large holes for the cables that connect your components together.This is delivered in one carton, and it is very, very heavy. Plan on having some help to move the carton around, especially if going up stairs. The product is generally well packed, and although the carton arrived somewhat beat up, the contents suffered only minor damage which was easy to fix. (A trim strip on the top panel was dislodged, and one of the screws holding it on was bent. A hammer helped to straighten the screw, and I repositioned the trim strip.Read more ›

I chose this TV stand because the company makes several other matching pieces to furnish my new living room. The stand does need to be Fully Assembled, but my boyfriend is very handy, and was able to put it together without too much difficulty. It is solidly made from real wood; one of the reasons I chose it. The color is slightly darker than the pictures indicate; I would call it more of a light walnut than honey brown. It arrived amazingly quickly from PlumStruck, well packed and in beautiful shape. I would highly recommend this item to anyone decorating on a budget. Can't wait to order the other pieces in the set. Only complaint is that the doors that cover the two side shelves are both just slightly misaligned. They are very tight to open and close, but it is hardly noticeable when you look at it

I LOVE this tv stand, now that it's together! However, getting it that way was a true nightmare! I purchased it from CCT Global Sourcing, who had it priced about $75 or more LESS than anyone else; perhaps that was the problem. Anyway, it arrived initially in two boxes that had been taped together in the middle & obviously was not meant to ship this piece of furniture. I have bought a lot of furniture in my life that had to be put together; it always arrives in a box, nicely wrapped edges & pieces, with a picture of the finished product on the outside, etc. Not this! It actually rattled when picked up, from all the pieces hitting together! All the "end" pieces of thick cardboard, plastic sheeting that goes around each piece, etc., were literally laying in the bottom of this "jury-rigged" box. I started taking pictures because I knew that many if not most of the pieces had to be damaged. I believe half of them had gashes & scrapes on them, including the end & top pieces. I contacted the company by email, & they needed photos, which I had. They then sent out the pieces I needed to have replaced.When this package arrived, it was also not proper packaging, but someone had put a lot of tape on the outside & had wrapped each piece inside with bubble wrap. The company had neglected to enclose a couple of the pieces I had requested, and one large piece (I believe it was the top), & the two end pieces that have the legs on them, were again damaged! I know that at least the top had been damaged BEFORE it was wrapped, because the wrapping was still in place & the damage was UNDER it. Again, I uploaded photos & sent them in an email to the company, who again mailed out another package containing the pieces that were missing & the (again) damaged pieces.Read more ›

Sturdy, holds a lot for its size. fairly easy to assemble. The only part of the assembly that was not too good was the screws that held the back on. They should have been predrilled and of tougher metal.

I was excited when I finally found something to match our Shaker furniture. But the excitement ended there. When the package arrived the box had rips but nothing that looked like it would damage the product. When I opened it I really believe this was a return that had been resold. The protective wrapping was torn and there were numerous large dents, gashes and nicks in the wood. So I also returned this stand and was going to have them send me another only to find they were out of stock and had no date of when they would be available. It really looked like it could have been a nice item but I read other reviews where people had a very similar experience with this item. To bad I really was disappointed. I will say Amazon was great about the return and issued my refund quickly.
