5 out of 5 stars High quality product
Georgia Girl

I had purchased a BDI TV stand for another room a few years ago. I was very impressed with the quality of the stand and ease of assembly. It is very sturdy, nice looking, and uses tempered glass (a type of safety glass) for the shelves.I now wanted a nicer, more formal looking stand for the bedroom, so the wood appealed to me. I went right back to looking for a BDI product that fit my needs. I especially liked the the fact that this stand can be set to stay in a fixed position, swivel 15 degrees to the left and 15 degrees to the right, or swivel 360 degrees. I like to turn the TV to a different direction when I am in another part of the room. I set it up to swivel 360 degrees. It is easy to turn and stays where you put it. Someone bumping into it could change the position, but other than that, it does it remains at that position you turned it to until you turn it again. You can change your remind later and set it to fixed or the 15 degrees swivel as long as you save the pieces that are inserted for the different positions. The back of the stand uses a very sturdy metal, very slightly bendable to fit the shape of the cabinet, black piece. It is the not thick cardboard-type backing that you often get with the cheaper stands. The backing has several open areas to accommodate the wires of electronic equipment that will be placed on each shelf. At one point in the assembly of this stand I did need another person to help me due to the swivel feature (it moves a bit) and due to the shape of the cabinet (it has a bottom and top that are oval shaped and shelves that are oval shaped in the front so you can't lay it flat on the floor during one stage of the assembly). This stand is a piece of quality furniture - you get what you pay for.Read more ›
