AuraSphere DSP
The LS-B50 is powered by AuraSphere DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology. It works by optimizing driver output to create a 3D surround effect from stereo sources.

Unlike other DSP technologies, AuraSphere expands the sweet spot (the area in front of the TV where audio sounds best) to create a 3D soundfield that places the listener in the center of the action, wherever they're sitting. Stream Your Audio with Built-In Bluetooth
Quick Connection Streams Beautiful Audio
Pair your cellphone, smartphone, tablet, or PC to the LS-B50 and stream wirelessly via the onboard Bluetooth technology. From your smartphone's music apps (like Spotify, SoundCloud, and other internet radio services) to locally stored libraries, Bluetooth technology streams content quickly and easily, and the LS-B50 reproduces the sound faithfully and powerfully.

Your podcast binges will sound amazing!
Pre-Programmed Sound Modes

Movie Mode
Onboard AuraSphere technology applies custom EQ filters to get the most out of movie and game soundtracks. Deeper bass and an open mid-range carry dialog clearly, all enhanced by AuraSphere's panoramic 3D soundfield.

Music Mode

For music, you want plenty of punchy bass, that doesn't drown out vocals and strings. AuraSphere manipulates the EQ and sound pressure levels to best suit music playback, while expanding the soundfield so that you enjoy balanced stereo sound no matter where you're sitting.

News Mode

This sound mode makes dialog more intelligible and maintains clean, balanced response for all types of content, including TV programs, movies, and news. With this mode engaged, you won't have to keep raising the volume to hear what's going on. The LS-B50 simply makes TV sound clear and rich.
Easy, Flexible Installation
Contemporary Styling Looks Great
The LS-B50's low-profile design makes it ideal for displaying on an entertainment unit or TV stand. Contemporary styling and muted color tones help it to blend discretely into your décor. If you desire, the unit's flat back panel and shallow depth allow for wall mounting under your TV. Installation is easier- just connect the single coaxial or optical cable, plug in the power cord, and say goodbye to tinny TV sound.

Flexible Set-Up with Wireless Subwoofer
With 40 Watts of amplification power firing downwards through a big 6 1/2" (16 cm) cone, the included wireless active subwoofer does an excellent job of adding impact to your favorite content, from games to music to movies. The crossover is set to blend perfectly with the soundbar, creating a deep, seamless audio image no matter where you choose to place the cabinet.
Dolby Digital
For High Quality Audio Decoding
Dolby Digital is a high quality audio format commonly encoded on DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, and in TV broadcasts. Compatible TVs can pass Dolby Digital audio through to the LS-B50 for richly detailed playback enhanced even further with your choice of AuraSphere sound mode. Wide Selection of Audio Inputs
For Easy Connection
Audio from your TV (and any media players connected to it) is passed to the LS-B50 via a single coaxial or optical digital audio cable. You can connect other devices (such as smartphones, tablets, and MP3 players) via a 1/8" (3.5 mm) analog audio input. A USB port will play MP3 files stored on USB-compatible smartphones and flash memory drives, and you can use the system remote to select albums, playlist, & tracks.

Obeys Your TV's Remote
Makes Control Easy & Convenient

5 out of 5 stars Welcome to Onkyo's Sound Bar (listen responsibly)
A. Dent

I am trying to uncover everything that is NOT superlative about Onkyo's Bar and this is what I'm coming up with:- it COULD be a little louder- USB playback is limited (no big deal because it's unlikely to ever be used)Now, for everything elseSETUPThe bar doesn't have to be mounted as it could lay nicely on a TV stand but, if you must, it comes with everything needed to mount it on the wall from screws to a wall mounting template and even suggestions on good placements.Getting things connected is quite obvious. It helps that the subwoofer is wireless. There are inputs for optical (5 ft. cable provided), coax (bring your own cable) or analog stereo (3.5 mm stereo mini plug provided). The unit is operated either through on-bar controls or via the supplied remote control or you can set the TV remote controller to work with it and the manual is good at explaining what you need to do to make it work.OPERATIONBy default, the sound bar will go in standby mode if it receives no input for about 5 minutes so you don't need to worry about turning it off.The supplied remote controls volume on both the bar and the subwoofer, can mute them if needed and can switch input between TV, USB and Bluetooth. It also allows for switching the sound mode between 'music', 'news' and a more 3D-surround-like 'movie' mode. All remote-supported functions can be performed by pressing buttons on the sound bar itself. One of this bar's great features is Bluetooth integration.Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars Sound Bar

This sound bar wasn't on our radar. We bought a Samsung TV and were going to get a samsung sound bar (actually were going to get the Sony HTC-T260H), but we were told we couldn't use one remote. We were told to use the Polk 5000. After listening to it at the store I couldn't bring myself to buy it. The other option was the Onkyo LS-B50. We got it. Set up was amazingly easy and the system paired itself with the remote instantly. The sound quality was wonderful and the bass was superb. It is in our bedroom which has vaulted ceilings and is 20' x 25'. It definitely filled the room and wasn't even near the high end of the volume. I would highly recommend this.

4 out of 5 stars Surprisingly...fantastic.

I've been on a speaker and soundbar kick lately. It all started when I upgraded my receiver/amp to the Harman Kardon AVR 2700 from my one-year old Yamaha receiver.First, I was lucky enough to grab a Klipsch Gallery G-42 Soundbar for half off its 700 dollar MSRP. That was the one I had been eying, and finally got it. After that, I went to the Yamaha YSP1400BL Digital Sound Projector that has a couple built in subwoofers. Those are in additional to the stand-alone speakers I already had. Now, before I get started on this Onkyo sound bar package...I've actually given each of the soundbars the same 4 stars, because I believe they're all awesome, depending on their use, your needs...and how much you end up spending on them. Also keep in mind (for comparison sake) that the Yamaha and this Onkyo are self-powered - they do not need to be hooked up to a receiver/amp; they plug into power themselves. The Klipsch is powered only from the amp in your receiver.Upon taking this Onkyo out of the box, I saw that as far as looks of the bar and subwoofer, they are very sleek. Shiny gloss on the sub...just looks good all around. As for sound - WAY above what I expected. I'm not sure why, but I expected something a bit tinny with overpowering bass. With all the defaults on, the sub was a fantastic compliment to the amazing highs and mids from the soundbars. Very, very balanced.Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars The whole new TV and listening experience!!
H. Dinh

First I am not an audiophile, so all I can say is something sounds good or bad. This sound bar system in my opinion is OUTSTANDING, even though with the rather stiff price. I have an old Sony Bravia, and have to practice active listening for years. I tried other sound bar (Sony), but never been really satisfied unless I turned the volume really high. This sound bar, right of the box, make my living room feels like a movie theater. Some video from my media player I could hardly heard the dialog, now clearer almost 100%. Turn up the bass volume and everything in the room vibrates with it. So awesome I spent the entire afternoon watching old movies! 3-D sound just like watching a movie in a theater.I am not sure what other audio connection sounds like, but I am lucky my TV has an optical audio port. So it is just simple a simple task to connect the provided optical cable, plug in power for the sound bar and sub woofer, then start enjoying. The Onkyo sound bard came with a nifty feature, Bluetooth!! I now can connect my iPhone to the sound bar via Bluetooth and listen via the sound bar. Just imagine, watching a movie on your iPad and have the the sound comes from this awesome sound bar! A whole new experience!!This is obviously the very high end of sound bar. Expensive, but if you can afford it or settle for nothing less than the best, this sound bar is for you.
