I did an exhaustive research on this style TV and looked at price and reviews as well. I thought it was a little pricey for the one I was originally planning on purchasing, which was the same Samsung TV, but it came with a Video Camera and Update Module, and it was going for 4297.00. The 8700 model was just released a month ago. It was exactly as I pictured it and the delivery by Amazon Prime was exceptional.The delivery company brought the unit in the house, unboxed the unit, connected the stand, set the unit up and tested it before leaving. It doesn't get no better than that my friend. I saved over 500.00 dollars by purchasing the 8700 unit and I got set in 3 days after I ordered it online. It was relatively easy to adjust the picture by reading other reviews on the Samsung 9000 system. Individuals who have purchased the 65in curved screen Samsung TV model 9000 have the same settings basically as the 8700. I was impressed with the picture quality and the built sound is ok but if you want better sound get a home theatre setup or Soundbar Speakers. The 4k resolution is a plus and with the Samsung plug in upgrade module feature, it will be a long time before you have to buy another tv unless you want a bigger screen. One other factor you may want to consider is that there is some glare problems with the curved screen but you can eliminate 99 percent of it by how you set it up in your room. Also setting up your screen display settings for optimal viewing.

Simply an amazing TV. I have not had a chance to play with all the bells and whistles, but the set is WORTH THE PRICE if you only use it as a 4K display. So far, the only complaint I have is that the default search engine for the built-in browser is BING rather than Google - but that's a personal choice. The 3D is simply astounding, my friends were grasping in the air to grab a hold of the subtitles in Avatar! The 4K Mastered discs are stunning. You won't see the images you see in the stores - many of them are TRUE 4K (recorded at the full UHD resolution). The "4K Mastered" discs are really 1080P but with enough information for a great upscale to 4K. To tell you the truth, I expected it to be MORE curved... The curve is not noticeable once you start watching. Paired with an OPPO 103D, this set gives you just about the best you can get.

This TV is amazing. Absolutely prefect. Four HDMI ports, WiFi, USB power port, all the good stuff. It also has a "pointing" controller that works like a Wii remote (for pointing only) and you can control your TV that way. I have not gotten around to using it yet as I just use the voice command on my XBOX One (which works great with this TV by the way). If I find anything wrong with the controller I will update. Also, the delivery for this TV was on time and the box was completely undamaged. This was my first time ordering a TV or any large object from Amazon and I loved it so much I doubt I will go out to by anything big ever again.However, the one bad thing was the packaging. The instructions on how to lift the TV out of the box tell you to use the Styrofoam to lift. DO NOT DO THAT. Leave the Styrofoam on the front of the TV as instructed (apparently it is easy to crack the screen) but do not lift with the Styrofoam. Force your hand in under the TV and lift that way. If you lift with the Styrofoam, the Styrofoam will break and you will drop your TV. If you are lucky, like I was, it will break quickly and fall inside the box and not break.

WOW!!! It is just short of never needing to go to the movies again. Picture quality can't be over stated and the curve gives everyone the same picture quality no matter where they sit in the room.
