5 out of 5 stars What an awesome 3D TV!

This is one of the best 3D TV's I've ever seen. This TV's 4K Ultra HD gives you 3840 x 2160 pixels. Normal HD is only 1920x1080 pixels, with half as many pixels horizontally and half as many vertically, giving you 1/4 the resolution of a 4K Ultra HD TV.The 4K Ultra HD resolution allows you to view 3D Blue-ray disks in full HD even though you're using movie style passive 3D glasses. With this TV each eye gets 3840 x 1080 pixels when using passive 3D glasses. That allows each eye to view more than full HD video. Normal HD TV's that use passive 3D glasses only give each eye 1/2 HD (1920x540 instead of 1920x1080) giving pretty bad results on a screen of this size. But with this TV, a full HD 3D Blue-ray movie will be viewed in full HD.The passive 3D experience on this TV is AWESOME. Everyone in my family enjoys the experience. It's BETTER THAN THE MOVIE 3D experience. I think that's because the screen is so bright and not as far away. I'm not sure. It's definitely the best 3D I have ever seen.Because it's passive, there's absolutely no flicker or weird electric buzzing effects the eyes get from using active 3D glasses. I hate active 3D glasses. Even at extremely high refresh rates, my eyes detect the flickering, as if my visual field is buzzing with electricity. It's just horrible. At low refresh rates I can see the flickering, which is even worse. With passive 3D, the feeling is natural on the eyes. I don't feel anything unusual going on in my eyes. They are completely at ease with passive 3D glasses. If the screen angle is adjusted properly, there is absolutely no ghosting. Ghosting can be seen if the screen is tilted down too much. So you need to play around with the screen tilt to get it right.Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars Simply the Best TV for Your Buck
Fun Brothers Gaming

I was looking for a TV to replace my current 47" Phillips TV I bought about 6 years ago before Smart TV's. The elements in my choices were current technology, screen clarity, ease of use, longevity, and price. When I first looked at this TV it was still in the $3000 price bracket so I looked it over and continued to some of the cheaper models. After all budget is a consideration, but you get what you pay for. What originally drew me to the TV was technology. The 4k and 4k upconversion were points of interest with this TV. After looking at Samsung and Vizio, the 4k clarity on this was remarkable. Now let me tell you my experience after buying it:I am an avid gamer which is why I got the 120hz. What I did not know was that the TV would upconvert my games to 4K which makes them look amazing. I knew it would upconvert movies, but I did not know it would upconvert my games. It blew my mind at how clear it was.Watching 4K content, although still limited is amazing. I love how clear things are and how much detail is seen. When I looked at this side by side with a Vizeo running the same show it was clear that not all TV's are the same. Where the Vizeo showed noise, the LG showed a clear picture. The interface is also a huge upgrade. Being able to have a menu on screen to switch HDMI ports it's great. Not having to get up and swap between BluRay, TV, and my XBOX 360, PS4 and XBOX One is a huge bonus. Just click on screen and there you go. Plus you can watch Netflix and YouTube 4K content. The 3D component wasn't even on my list but the 3D on this is a amazing if it gets phased out eventually that would be sad, but there are still some thing that are great. This even had a faux 3D that takes regular programs and converts them to 3D.Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars Couldn't be better! 4K looks beautiful using PC and 3D fx is really good!

I got this model as replacement for the purchase of an older model they didn't have in stock. So couldn't be better! I will split the review in 2 parts, TV set and Buying XP.TV set:This is a really elegant TV set, well constructed and the industrial designers really did a great job balancing good looks with the practical side on this big TV, The Web OS app is fantastic, the User Interface is easy to understand and looks really cool, with some really nice illustrations to explain stuff. The Magic remote is fantastic, takes a while to get used to the way the pointer moves, but it's great after that! The 4K up-scaling is fantastic with good low compression sources such as Blu-ray discs, but with Cable input and high compression PC files it gets a little weird. But obviously better than not using the up-scaling system. But the feature that really surprised me was the quality of the 3D fx on this TV, I personally tried some other 3D TV sets before, at friends houses and stores, and only the really expensive models the 3D was ok... but with this 65UB9500, the 3D is fantastic, the sense of dept is amazing and the borders of the image don't look weird at all like other models. But I didn't liked the glasses... they cannot be used by people that use regular glasses beneath. I got some extra Real3D glasses, and they work great and regular glasses friendly! lol.Con: Black color is not that good... especially on the borders.Buying Experience:I bought a " Used like new" older model from Supreme Savings, I stood for 6 days with no updates or contact, but shortly after I sent a message they called me to say they didn't have the TV in stock, but they could get me a newer model, brand new-sealed in box with no extra charge...Read more ›
