I was apprehensive about purchasing a furniture item online, but I really lucked out. The TV cabinet is much nicer quality than I expected and blends perfectly with my antique and other nice quality furniture. Very sturdy. I would call the color a medium oak-just slightly darker than the picture. It took about 2 hours to assemble. No missing or poor-fitting parts. My 42 inch TV looks perfect on it and sits at eye level. Not too low or up too high. Thank you Amazon for a great product at a great price!!

Put it together myself, but it looks like a pro did it.

I've ordered several pieces of furniture which I had to assemble myself recently, and so far this was the easiest. How they ship this stuff all the way from Vietnam and Thailand in pristine condition is beyond me. This is my third piece of furniture made in Southeast Asia that I've bought and assembled, and not a single scratch or problem with any of them.The only tool required is a Phillips (+) type screw driver. Glue is completely unnecessary and could cause more trouble than it's worth.I will note that I had the wise idea of buying a cordless drill and set of screw bits after the epic effort it took to put together the first piece of furniture, because putting together even the simplest of self-assembly furniture is frankly a pain in the butt without it. Just putting the back on this thing requires twenty small screws for example. You will not only do a better job but a faster one with a cordless screw gun / driver, especially if you make a mistake and have to partially disassemble it then reassemble it (hense the above warning about using glue).Note that when it's time to put the legs on this thing, the bolts that screw into the bottom have plastic covers on them, which look like wooden pegs because they have wood stain on them. It's not included in the instructions, but you simply have to remove the plastic covers. I used the plyers on my Leatherman multitool.Only one CON that's an easy fix. There are no holes in the backs of the two side cabinets for putting electrical cords through, so you have to drill them yourself if you want or need them like I did. After looking at hundreds of TV tables, I finally settled on this one because of the appearance and the reviews. It matches the rest of my oak furniture. It is darker than the picture, but I wanted the darker color.The instructions were the easiest of the many items I have put together. They were very detailed and easy to follow. If this 76-year-old female can put this together, anyone can! It is easier if you use a power screwdriver, but be very careful not to tighten too much.

This is a very nice tv stand, easy to assemble and sturdy. It is hard to buy furniture online, in my opinion it is a shade or two darker than the picture represents.

We had never purchased any furniture on-line before, but have always been pleased with our Amazon.com purchases. We couldn't be happier! The stand is absolutely gorgeous. The color is a little darker than picture shows. We put it together in little time, all parts were accounted for. Upon delivery, the backboard had a crack. We called the Company, they sent out a replacement immediately.We highly recommend this real wood oak stand!

SMALLER THAN EXPECTED BUT LARGE ENOUGH

Everything the reviews say is true. Quality is very high. Fit and finish exceptional. Real wood everywhere but back panel. The only comment I have is that the size is smaller than I expected. It is as wide as advertised but its height and depth are less than I expected. However, I was able to get my 47 inch TV on top with the sound bar and Wii sensor beneath it. I was able to place my subwoofer on the middle shelf but had to cut out the back panel to get it to slide in completely. My Blueray fit on the top middle shelf just fine. The side cabinets were wide enough to handle my cable box, Xbox and Wii. All in all, I managed to fit everything. However, not everyone will be able to do so if their components are larger. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and ease of assembly.

Good quality for the money. Well designed and engineered. As others have said, the color is much darker. However, that worked out better for us.
